We start off today with a product review of Grandma Bowser's Country Oven Bisquits.
We (or the dogs) were fortunate enough to receive two 10 oz. bags of Grandma Bowser's bisquits. I really liked how they were packaged..bright, colorful and the best part, re-sealable! Grandma Bowser could be found in stores in the 90's but competition forced them to take a back seat until the internet allowed them to bounce back!
We have two dogs: Gigi, the puppy, who will eat anything that doesn't eat her first and Kayla, the 7 yr. old Pomeranian that is rather, well, persnickety.
One bag was the "regular" and the other bag was peanut butter. All natural and preservative free, I wondered if they'd even like it. I decided I'd try them, first. Yes, OK, I TASTED ONE. OK, TWO. The regular had a nice molasses smell and was palatable. The peanut butter bisquit tasted like, well, a little like peanut butter. Don't get the wrong idea, I've never tried a dog treat in my life until these, being all natural.
I'm also moved by the fact that the company gives back to needy animals.
I tried giving Kayla a regular bisquit and she wasn't too thrilled with it. Gigi didn't care, she gobbled it up. I brought out the peanut butter bisquit and Kayla went nuts. She looked up at me for another one. I gave it to her. Although her limit is two treats per night, she wanted yet another one! Ok, Grandma Bowser, you win!
